Brittleness Tester
The Brittleness Tester ET 05-II automatically determines the low-temperature brittleness point of rubber materials according to ISO 812, ASTM D2137, and equivalent standards.
This brittleness tester can hold a maximum of six test specimens and is designed as a drop-weight impact tester. The speed is set by the height of the attached weight, which is raised by a pneumatic cylinder.
The EC 19 Windows software that comes with the brittleness testing machine supports test setup and execution, and displays results in graphs in real-time. The temperature can be controlled from the application, and the user can proceed with the test procedure by following the guide. By measuring the velocity at the moment of impact, it confirms that the appropriate energy has been applied. This software can also be used for displaying and comparing test results, and for creating reports specified by standards. The measurement results can also be exported and opened with Excel.
At the same time, we recommend the introduction of the ET 01.02 automatic cooling device, which uses liquid nitrogen. The ET 01.02 consists of a cryogenic vessel for storing liquid nitrogen, and special valves and hoses for connecting the vessel to the low-temperature testing apparatus. The 60-liter vessel is made of stainless steel and offers lower evaporation loss compared to conventional liquid cylinders, as well as the durability to safely withstand harsh working environments.
